Moose Permits to be Issued in Minto, Nenana and Fairbanks
Registration permits for "any moose" hunts in the Minto Flats Management Area in Unit 20B (RM775) and "antlerless moose" hunts in the Western Tanana Flats in Unit 20A (RM768) will be issued August 4, 2010.Waterbury, VT - Vermont's fourth annual auction of five moose hunting permits closed on August 3, with $21,976.75 taken in to help fund Fish and Wildlife Department educational programs, such as the Green Mountain Conservation Camps for 12 to 16 year old youths. Fourteen bids ranging from $1,600 to $4,570 were submitted.

The Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire is auctioning five moose hunting permits for the 2010 moose hunt as part of a program to support the conservation of wildlife and natural places throughout the state. The permits will allow the holder to harvest one moose of either sex in a wildlife management unit of the holder's choice. All auction proceeds benefit the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire.

The Department will auction five moose hunting permits to applicants who submit the highest bids through a written bid process. The permits are only valid during the moose hunting season. An applicant must submit the permit bid form supplied by the Fish and Wildlife Department, properly completed to include all requested information.

AUGUSTA - Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner Roland "Danny" Martin is pleased to announce that the 2010 Moose Permit Lottery Drawing will be held Thursday, June 17, at L.L.Bean in Freeport. The drawing of names will begin at 6 p.m. under the moose lottery tent near L.L.Bean's Hunt and Fishing Store. This year, 3,140 permits will be drawn for the fall harvest. Last year, 82 percent of hunters were successful. No more applications for the lottery are being accepted as the deadline has passed.
