CONCORD, N.H. -- New Hampshire's 2010 moose season wrapped up on Sunday, October 24, with 302 hunters succeeding in taking their moose during the 9-day season. With a total of 400 permits issued, this represents a statewide success rate of 76%. About 68% of the harvest consisted of males, according to Kristine Rines, Moose Project Leader for the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. In 2009, the statewide success rate was 65%.

2010 N.H. Moose Hunt Permit Auction Underway; - Jul. 08, 2010
Prospective moose hunters have a shot at the adventure of a lifetime through the New Hampshire moose hunt permit auction, which is currently accepting bids. The Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire is auctioning five moose hunting permits for the 2010 moose hunt as part of a program to support the conservation of wildlife and natural places throughout the state. The permits will allow the holder to harvest one moose of either sex in a wildlife management unit of the holder's choice. All auction proceeds benefit the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire.

CONCORD, N.H. -- Lottery applications are now available for the adventure of a lifetime - hunting moose in New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's 2010 moose hunt lottery is open! The nonrefundable application fee is $15 for New Hampshire residents and $25 for nonresidents. New Hampshire's moose hunt is nine days long, starting the third Saturday in October. This year's hunt runs from October 16-24, 2010. The overall odds of being selected in last year's lottery were 1 in 22 for New Hampshire residents and 1 in 63 for nonresidents, some of the best odds in the nation for moose hunting.

2009 New Hampshire Moose Hunt a Success - Oct. 29, 2009
CONCORD, N.H. -- New Hampshire's 2009 moose season was a success. Hunters took 341 moose. With a total of 522 permits issued, this represents a statewide success rate of 65%. About 60% of the harvest was males, according to Kristine Rines, Moose Project Leader for the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. The nine-day moose hunt ended on Sunday, October 25. In 2008, hunters did about the same, taking 333 moose, for a statewide success rate of 65%.

Moose Hunt Update: Half of N.H. Moose Hunters Successful So Far - Oct. 22, 2009
CONCORD, N.H. -- As of Wednesday, October 21, a total of 265 moose had been taken in the 2009 New Hampshire moose hunt (158 bulls and 107 cows). That means that just over half (51%) of hunters holding moose permits had succeeded by the mid-way point in the state's moose hunt, very similar to the hunter success rate at this point in the moose season last year. The nine-day season runs through Sunday, October 25, 2009.

N.H. Moose Hunt Is October 17 - 25, 2009 - Oct. 12, 2009
CONCORD, N.H. -- For nine exciting days, from October 17 to 25, 2009, lucky moose permit holders and their hunting partners will have the experience of a lifetime taking part in New Hampshire's annual moose hunt. There were 515 permit holders drawn in this year's lottery, randomly selected by computer from a pool of more than 14,500 applicants.
