Antlerless Moose Hunts Close - Feb. 07, 2011Antlerless moose hunting in portions of central Unit 20A south of Fairbanks will close at 11:59 pm on Thursday night, February 3, 2011.
BULL MOOSE SEASON CLOSURE in the GUSTAVUS PORTION OF UNIT 1(C) - Oct. 01, 2010
Biologists with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game in Douglas announced an early closure to the moose hunting season in that area west of Excursion Inlet and north of Icy Passage (commonly referred to as the Gustavus hunt area) of Game Management Unit 1(C). This area is managed under the RM049 registration permit.
State Closes Antlerless Moose Registration Hunt RM850 in Unit 22C - Sep. 18, 2010
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game announces an emergency order closure of the State registration moose hunt in Unit 22C by permit RM850 at 11:59 p.m. September 19, 2010. The portion of Unit 22C closed by this emergency order includes the antlerless moose hunt in the Nome and Snake River drainages.

In regulation, this area is identified as the ?Remainder of Unit 22B? and includes the portion of Game Management Unit 22B located west of the crest of the Darby Mountains.

Registration permits for "any moose" hunts in the Minto Flats Management Area in Unit 20B (RM775) and "antlerless moose" hunts in the Western Tanana Flats in Unit 20A (RM768) will be issued August 4, 2010.

Game Management Unit 17A Moose Hunt Opens - Jan. 13, 2010
Dillingham - The Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Togiak National Wildlife Refuge are announcing a 14-day winter season for residents to hunt moose in Game Management Unit 17A. The registration hunt will open on January 18, 2010 and close January 31, 2010. The area open for this moose hunt includes Game Management Unit 17A.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game announces an emergency order closure of the State Registration moose hunt RM849 in western Unit 22B at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010. The area affected by this closure is Unit 22B west of the Darby Mountains, including the Fish and Niukluk River drainages, Council, White Mountain, and Golovin.
